PRE-SHIPMENT INSPECTION (PSI)
PSI is a systematic onsite inspection where we randomly select a certain amount of units to perform all the quality checks. This type of inspection is conducted when production is 80-100% complete.
The primary objective of a pre-shipment inspection is to ensure that the products meet all regulations, quality and the safety standards specified by the buyers in the importing country.
Pre-shipment Inspection Check List:
- Visual check.
- Packaging inspection (labeling, barcodes and instructions).
- Verify quality standards in accordance with the importer checklist.
- Perform quantity verification.
- Conduct a random final inspection.
- Verify workmanship and functionality test.
- Check size and weight measurements.
The advantages of conducting a Pre-shipment Inspection:
- Ensure that your supplier has met all agreed-upon specifications.
- Take corrective actions before the shipment.
- Avoid returns from final customers.
- Verify final product quality when you cannot access the factory yourself.
Interservices Global has a wide range of standardized check list for each Inspection type and each particular product. Our customers can use these checklists. Otherwise, where they require specific alternative checks to be carried out, they can add to one of these lists or create their own unique checklist without extra cost.
